ROADSCAPES - Since 2000 and our first Website for our gallery of Road Transport Paintings we have had several companies to host it all. By 2023 we had built up a selection of over 200 scenes to look at, but weren't too happy with the hosting. At the end of 2023 we changed the company who in return encrypted all our copyrighted images and notes. It meant starting all over again. I know a bit about the Road, as well as Painting, but computers and websites are a mystery to me, and out of my reach.  Anyway, in 2025, after a year or so we were up and running again, with a slightly new look. 

We kept the same intro. picture as above, which is a painting made back in 2007, called "The Bog Road". It was for a best friend, in Connemara, West of Ireland, who ran the Hino Lorries. Trouble free Motoring, he always said. Seen here on the Roundstone Bog Road in Connemara, loaded with Seaweed from the shores of Donegal. A beautiful stylish looking Lorry, set on a most beautiful stretch of road, with the 12 Bens in the distance. For me it sums up what the Roadscapes are all about. James the driver and me were chatting there for a good hour, sea water dripping out of the load onto the roadway all the while, stacks of Turf around us and a Curlew or Whimbrel flying above us in this desolate landscape. Just like the old days, when people had time to breathe and to take it all in.

The PAINTINGS section - is our old Virtual Gallery with a new look. 50 scenes so far, with an index at the end. We will add more as we go along. Maybe into categories as before. We'll see.

ROADSIDE - this carries on from the old News and Updates blog. Again this was also encrypted to stop me re- using my own work, so I have had to steer round the obstacles and start again with features of the Life on the Road, from old friends and customers who know the subject. A slow process and we'll probably never get it back to what it was. I'll do my best.

EST. 1984 - A bit of the history of RS for those who are interested and especially those who kept us going with work for over 40 years. Thanks a Million, Zillion even, to you all. Safe roads and Don't be a Stranger!
