SPRING SCENE - FOREST FLYER: ERF KV coiler set in the Forest of Dean. A stylish lorry, in a lovely location, with a backdrop of Bluebells. Overhead is another forest flyer, a Jay. Memories for me of travelling to Lydbrook with paper, and of loading back Stelrad radiators from Monmouth, many moons ago. Harold Read's most perfect Scarlet, Maroon and Black traditional lined out livery, with gold leaf lettering, harks back to the days of the Royal Mail Coaches of the 1800s. The original picture was painted in Lascaux Acrylics and framed in Cherry Wood.
